The Yoga Shala offers monthly workshops designed to help students deepen their understanding and experience of Ashtanga Yoga. Each workshop provides an opportunity to explore key elements of the practice, refine techniques, and expand your knowledge in a supportive, hands-on environment. The Yoga Shala's Ashtanga focused workshops are led by Krista Shirley, a Level II Authorized Ashtanga Yoga Instructor and owner of The Yoga Shala. Whether you're new to Ashtanga or an experienced practitioner, our monthly workshops offer personalized guidance to enhance your practice and foster growth on and off the mat.

Mysore Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga class offers a unique and personalized approach to your practice. In this class, Krista will provide one-on-one guidance and adjustments as you move through the Ashtanga series at your own pace.

Ground It Down, Twist It Out Learn to root deeply into the earth in order to create lift, expansion, and safe rotation in twists. Using hands, feet, and pelvis as anchors, we’ll explore how opposing forces enhance depth, stability, and clarity — both physically and energetically. This is a twist game-changer.

Rewire Your Pain: A Nervous System-Based Approach to Chronic Pain Relief Chronic pain isn’t just physical — it’s wired into your nervous system. This hands-on workshop combines science-backed education, targeted movement, nervous system training, and guided breathwork to help you understand your pain and retrain your body’s response to it. Expect to work: we’ll move, journal, apply new strategies, and explore what it means to rebuild from the inside out. You'll leave with practical tools you can use daily to reduce flare-ups, improve function, and reclaim control.
